Dustin T. Johnston was born in San Diego, California and became a multimillionaire in his late thirties when he sold a portion of real estate holdings in 2012 under his company Johnston Holding Company (JHC INC). He went on to more success building alliances with green companies that qualify for carbon credits including an electric car company, solar company and water purification plant. Recently, he has been working as a developer on various equity placement and redevelopment projects involving renewable energy, real estate and internet marketing & data. Currently, he is devoted as President at JHC INC and building brokerage Division D.T. Johnston Real Estate that buys, sells and exchanges it’s assets and for selected clients.

Professional Experience:

Responsible for sales and marketing in the Commercial Real Estate division while representing owners in the acquisition and disposition of businesses with/without property through lease, merger sale or exchange. In addition, works with the executive team to develop and implement corporate-level strategies.

  • Engaged in overseeing various portfolio assets such as: land development, commercial, apartments, office shopping centers, industrial properties and self storage facilities.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations regarding, land-use, acquisition and finance. Further analyses includes vision of highest to best use of property (zoning strategy), finance, renovation, environmental consulting and project management.
  • Provides thorough attention to every detail so that nothing is overlooked in assessing a project’s strengths, addressing potential weaknesses, setting firm objective with time commitments to bring a project from analysis through negotiation to a successful closing.

Selling and buying homes for clients and friends is always fun. Since , I predominantly work in the investment world, its great meeting or exceeding ones expectation with home acquisition. For eleven  years I have been working in the commercial real estate business mainly in California.  Normally I helped clients buy, sell and exchange their homes as a courtesy and am now look forward to the rewarding experience of helping others reach their financial goals and achieve their dreams.

From this experience I have developed relationships with clients, governmental agencies and brokers. From performing market research, completing due diligence, addressing government authorities, negotiating land purchases/leases to utilizing financial leverage, I gained a wealth of information & obtained solid relations with players in the industry and utilize them daily.  In some cases I have been fortunate to partner up in syndication or grew my portfolio.
